Dr Kafil A.

Dr. Kafil A. is an experienced telecoms engineer currently serving as a Senior Engineer at Network Rail since January 2025. Previously, Dr. Kafil held various positions at Network Rail, including Head of Telecoms Portfolio [Wireless] and Senior RF and Microwave Design Engineer, where significant contributions included authoring Telecoms Clearance Standards for RF systems. With a strong background in microwave engineering, Dr. Kafil has also been involved in consultancy and project engineering roles, including work at Pera Technology and Altair, along with holding leadership positions, such as Chairman of the IET RF and Microwave Technology Professional Network. Academic credentials include a PhD in Microwave Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic and Communications from London Metropolitan University, where Dr. Kafil also served as a lecturer and vice president of the students' union.
