Richard Brindley has extensive experience in the civil engineering and project delivery sectors, primarily with Network Rail since September 2009. Currently serving as DPE/PE/Project Delivery Engineering Manager, responsibilities include overseeing the MerseyTravel Train Lengthening project, coordinating multiple engineering disciplines across 34 stations on the MerseyRail network. Previous roles at Network Rail included CEM/CRE/Senior Design Engineer, focusing on the Scotland Rolling Programme of Decarbonisation, and a variety of design engineer positions working on underbridge and overbridge projects. Richard Brindley also gained foundational experience during the Network Rail graduate scheme, engaging with various departments to develop a holistic understanding of the industry. Earlier in the career, Richard held the role of Assistant Site Engineer at Balfour Beatty Rail, contributing to site works on the Sandhills Lane underbridge reconstruction. Education was completed at The University of Manchester with a degree in Civil Engineering.
