Tom Williams is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution with over twenty-five years of experience in the rail industry. Currently serving as Programme Engineering Manager at Network Rail since October 2013, Tom leads the Engineering programme across Wales & Western, managing a diverse portfolio of over one hundred and twenty projects with an annual design value exceeding £11 million. Tom's career spans multiple countries, including extensive roles at URS Corporation and Tube Lines, where expertise in track design and engineering management was developed. Renowned for strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and high-performance team leadership, Tom excels in delivering innovative engineering solutions and fostering long-term client relationships. Tom holds a Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bristol.
