Saravana Bhava has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry. Saravana began their career as a Software Engineer at Dream Solutions in Sri Lanka in 2003. In 2005, they moved to Softwatch InfoSys in Sri Lanka, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2009, they joined Tidewater Inc. as an IT Manager and Senior Software Engineer. In 2013, they co-founded Avance Systems, Inc. where they served as the CEO. In 2015, they joined Network Specialty Group, Inc. as a Java Developer. Saravana'sresponsibilities included Oracle Enterprise Retail customization, Vantiv, Verifone, EMV chip payment method integration and implementation, and working with J2EE, EJB, JAXB 1, 2.0, REST Api, JMS, Weblogic 10g, 11g, 12c, and Oracle.

Saravana Bhava has an extensive educational background. Saravana attended St. Britto Higher Secondary School from 1995 to 1999, and then Thiagarajar College of Engineering from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a BE in Computer Science and Engineering. Saravana also holds a number of certifications from various institutions, including Oracle, IBM, Microsoft, and Amazon Web Services. These include a Completion Award for Oracle MOOC: Java Virtual Machine Troubleshooting (2018), IBM Certified Specialist - IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer (2002), IBM Certified Specialist - DB2 UDB V6/V7.1 User (2002), Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (2019), AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) (2017), and a MIT Certificate for Tackling the Challenges of Big Data (2015).
