Michael Kalbermatten

Michael Kalbermatten is an accomplished professional in the field of geographic information systems (GIS) and public administration. Currently serving as Chef de service for the Service de la géomatique et du registre foncier at the State of Neuchâtel since January 2011, Michael also held the role of GIS CTO at EPFL prior to this position. Michael has a strong academic background, with a PhD in GIS from EPFL obtained in 2010, alongside a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Public Administration from the University of Lausanne - UNIL / IDHEAP completed in 2018. Michael's earlier career includes research assistant work at LASIG - EPFL from April 2004 to June 2010 and post-doctoral research at EPFL from July 2010 to January 2011, after earning an M.Sc. in Environment from EPFL in 2004.
