Shay B.

Shay B. has held a variety of roles in the healthcare industry since 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked as a Personal Support Worker at Nurse Next Door and CBI Health Group, a Covid Tester at Halton Medix Family Practice and Walk-In Clinic, and a Medical Office Assistant at Healthwise Medical Clinic. At Halton Medix, they interacted with upwards of 100+ patients daily and built relationships with patients to increase satisfaction. At Nurse Next Door and CBI Health Group, they provided compassionate care to each client, identified their personal needs, and assisted them with activities of daily living. In 2021, Shay B. began working as a Clinic Team Lead at NeuPath Health (TSXV:NPTH), where they oversee daily clinic operations, ensure efficient clinic flow, and conduct courtesy calls to patients.

Shay B. is currently enrolled at McMaster University and is expected to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2023. Prior to this, Shay received a Certificate in Peer Health Navigation from York University in 2022. Shay also earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University in 2021, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Mental Health and Addiction Studies from McMaster University Continuing Education in 2021. Shay obtained an Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a Health and Wellness Major in 2017. Shay has also obtained several certifications, including Fundamentals of Agile Project Management and Fundamentals of Waterfall Project Management from the Project Management Institute in 2023, Motivating and Engaging Employees from LinkedIn in 2022, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from Coast2Coast First Aid and Aquatics in 2021, and safeTALK (suicide prevention) from LivingWorks in 2016.
