Kathy Fosnaugh

Kathy Fosnaugh is currently a consultant at NeurAegis. Kathy has also previously worked as the Director at Youtell Biochemical Inc., the Associate Director at Marina Biotech, Inc., and as a Biotech Professional. Kathy has a wealth of experience in yeast and fungi genetics, cloning and molecular biology, enzyme assays, fermentation, and protein purification.

During their time at Youtell Biochemical Inc., Kathy managed and directed a team of scientists who were involved in cloning, expression, and purification of enzymes used in the food, feedstock, biofuel, and textile industries.

At Marina Biotech, Inc., Kathy led in Cancer Programs and therapeutic target selection for bladder cancer, liver cancer, and malignant ascites projects. Kathy also contributed to the development of a novel cationic lipid formulation with in vitro and in vivo efficacy demonstrated for systemic and intravesical administration. In addition, Kathy initiated targeted delivery experiments with liposomal formulations which resulted in positive results in vitro.

Kathy Fosnaugh has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Cornell University and a B.S. in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
