William Cornforth is an experienced data engineer with a strong background in developing innovative data processing solutions and web applications. Currently at Neural Alpha since May 2021, William has built a web app backend using Django and created graph databases and mapping tools. Prior to this, William worked at Waitrose & Partners, where data processing scripts in Python were developed to enhance data availability using APIs and AWS. As the founder of Utrofi, an app was created to provide information on the country of origin for produce and pesticide residue summaries. William's earlier roles included research positions at Forest Research and the Zoological Society of London, focusing on machine learning algorithms and satellite imagery analysis. William holds a BSc Hons in Chemistry, with a concentration in Environmental Chemistry and Geography from the University of Toronto.
