Kaia Williams

Kaia Williams is an accomplished Optical Engineer with a robust background spanning several prominent companies in the optics and engineering sectors. Currently employed at Neuralink since February 2023, Kaia focuses on robot vision systems. Prior to this role, Kaia contributed to Fathom Radiant from May 2021 to January 2023, where the design of a massively parallel free space optical communications network for machine learning applications was a key responsibility. Kaia also served as an Optical Systems Engineer at IDEX Health & Science, LLC - Melles Griot, developing wavefront metrology for diffraction limited microscope objectives from May 2018 to May 2021. Early career experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Rochester from May 2016 to May 2018. Kaia holds a Master of Science in Technical Entrepreneurship and Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Optics, both from the University of Rochester, supplemented by an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Palisade High School.
