Stephen Binderup

Stephen Binderup is a Microfabrication Engineer at Neuralink, where roles have included Production Engineer and Process Technician since January 2021. Prior experience as Lab Manager at Northern Illinois University involved regular maintenance and repairs on cleanroom equipment and training new lab users. As a Research Assistant, Stephen contributed to interdisciplinary research in nanoparticle synthesis and developed a soft nanolithography approach for patterning nanoscale features. Stephen has also worked at Argonne National Laboratory, utilizing advanced fabrication equipment until the facility's closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, both from Northern Illinois University.
