Laia Gil Molas

Laia Gil Molas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2011, they worked as a Bioengineering Lab Trainee at the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC), where they focused on the characterization of biodegradable materials for bone regeneration. In 2012, they furthered their scientific pursuits with a role as an Organic Chemistry Lab Trainee at IQAC-CSIC.

In 2012, Laia also participated in a molecular biology research project titled "Methods for detecting mutations in the DNA" at the Petnica Science Center. Laia gained hands-on experience with techniques such as PCR, agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, and size exclusion chromatography.

Laia's athletic abilities also shine through their work experience. From 2008 to 2016, they were a 1st Division athlete and medallist in Spanish National Championships as a sprinter for Agrupació Atlètica Catalunya. Laia achieved notable accomplishments, including placing 3rd in the Spanish National Championships in the 4x400m relay and 3rd in the Spanish National University Championships in the 400m event.

Laia'sacademic pursuits led their to the University of Helsinki, where they conducted a research project on craniofacial regeneration with a focus on the combination of developmental/evolutionary biology with regenerative/stem cell biology.

In the corporate world, Laia has held various roles at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. From 2016 to 2021, they served as a Marketing Manager and Commercial Operations Specialist, leading reporting and business analysis, market research, and marketing operations. Laia also played a pivotal role in the implementation of digital activities and a multichannel approach in sales and marketing.

In 2021, Laia took on the role of a Philanthropy Consultant at Esade Alumni, where they contributed their expertise to philanthropic projects.

In 2022, Laia joined Neuraxpharm as the Head of Corporate Commercial Excellence, Manager. Laia'sresponsibilities include establishing and leading the Commercial Excellence department at a corporate level, implementing standards and frameworks for operational efficiency, and generating insights for C-level decision-making.

Laia's passion for education led their to CESIF in 2023, where they worked as a temporary teacher.

Throughout their career, Laia has demonstrated a strong scientific background, a track record of athletic success, and a commitment to excellence in various corporate roles.

Laia Gil Molas holds an Executive Diploma in Marketing and Sales from Esade, obtained in 2020. Laia also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biotechnology from Universitat de Barcelona. In 2016-2017, they pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) specializing in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology Industries from Talento Farmacéutico y Sanitario Business School. Additionally, they completed their final thesis in Biotechnology at the University of Helsinki. Laia has also obtained certifications in team management, emotional intelligence, and an advanced English certificate from the University of Cambridge in 2011.
