Martha B. Koo

Martha B. Koo, M.D., FAPA, FASAM, FCTMSS has a strong background in the field of medicine. Martha B. is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Your Behavioral Health since June 2023. Before that, in September 2018, they founded Neuro Wellness Spa and served as the Medical Director. Additionally, they founded Clear Recovery Center in April 2016, where they worked as the Medical Director. Dr. Koo has also held various board member positions, including being a Board Member at the Clinical TMS Society since June 2020 and at the Foundation for the Advancement of Clinical TMS since January 2023. Furthermore, they have been a Board Member at Beach Cities Health District since December 2020. In 1996, they established their own practice, Martha B Koo, MD, Ltd, and has been the Owner ever since. From May 2012 to July 2019, they were the Medical Director at Manhattan Beach Professional Group. Prior to that, starting in March 2009, they founded and served as the Medical Director of South Bay TMS Therapy Center until September 2018. Martha B. Koo, M.D., FAPA, FASAM, FCTMSS completed their education as follows:

- From 1988 to 1992, they attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

- Prior to that, they studied at Princeton University from 1983 to 1987 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, majoring in Biology and Dance.

- Following their medical degree, they pursued a psychiatry residency from 1992 to 1996 at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.

- Martha B. further received a degree in psychoanalysis from the New Center for Psychoanalysis, where they studied from 1996 to 2001.

- Recently, in 2021 and 2022, they completed a Psychedelic Therapy Certification program at the California Institute of Integral Studies.

Furthermore, Martha B. Koo, M.D., FAPA, FASAM, FCTMSS holds additional certifications, including being certified in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy by the California Institute of Integral Studies. Martha B. is also Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Preventative Medicine and Board Certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. Additionally, they are certified in the application of MagVenture, Brainsway, and Neurostar TMS Therapy.
