Erin Byrne Rousseau, PhD, is a seasoned biomedical engineer currently serving as a Senior Biomedical Engineer at NeuroBionics since March 2024. Previously, Erin worked as a Senior System Engineer at Boston Scientific and conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, focusing on strategic research planning and clinical translation for Glioblastoma treatment. Erin's research background includes a PhD in Medical Engineering from MIT and a BS in Material Science from the University at Albany. Notable achievements include writing a funded multi-PI NIH R01 grant and developing innovative technologies for neurologic disorders through collaboration with clinicians and neuroscientists. Additional experience includes internships at Georgia Institute of Technology, The Research Foundation for SUNY, and SUNY Polytechnic Institute, where skills in electron microscopy and 3D stem cell culture techniques were developed.
