Azim Munivar

Azim Munivar is a Senior Medical Director at Neurocrine Biosciences since July 2025, with a previous role as Medical Director at Biohaven Pharmaceuticals from September 2020 to May 2025, where leadership in clinical development and trials was demonstrated. Azim's medical training includes a Psychiatry Residency at Yale University School of Medicine, where innovative initiatives and grant achievements were notable. As CEO and Co-founder of Azitra Inc from January 2014 to June 2017, Azim led the engineering of genetically modified skin bacteria for therapeutic applications. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine and a Master's in Health Sciences from Yale School of Medicine, alongside dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics (Finance and Health Care Management) and Chemical Biomolecular Engineering from The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.
