Reinhard Roessler

Reinhard Roessler is a seasoned researcher in the field of neurological diseases, currently serving as a Principal Investigator at Neurocrine Biosciences since November 2019. Prior to this role, Reinhard contributed to BERG Health as a Senior Scientist, focusing on neurological disease models and gene editing using CRISPR technology. Career progression includes positions as Scientist II and Scientist III, where Reinhard further advanced work in neurological diseases and human iPSCs. Academic experience includes a Post-Doctoral Associate position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Whitehead Institute, specializing in genome editing and human iPS models for Autism, as well as a PhD from the University of Groningen, which investigated mouse iPS models for Parkinson's Disease. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree from Free University Berlin, where foundational studies in biochemistry and neuroscience were undertaken.
