Shane Atwell

Shane Atwell is a Distinguished Scientist and Scientific Director at Neurocrine Biosciences. With extensive experience in antibody discovery and engineering, Shane co-founded and leads the department at the company. Prior to this role, Shane served as a Principal Scientist at Encodia, Inc., where Shane contributed to designing peptide sequencing recognition elements and screening strategies. With a background in antibody engineering and bispecific engineering at Eli Lilly and Company, Shane also held leadership positions at SGX Pharmaceuticals and conducted postdoc research at The Scripps Research Institute. Shane holds a PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco, and has a postdoc in Chemistry from Scripps Research.
