Paul Pop

Paul Pop has a diverse background in software development and data science. Paul is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Neurolabs, a company that develops algorithms for computer vision in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Prior to this, they worked at Hudl as a Senior Data Science Lead, where they focused on data management and machine learning applied in sports, specifically developing a player tracking system for football. Paul also held roles as a Data Scientist Lead and Computer Vision Engineer Lead at Hudl, where they worked on projects related to data analytics and computer vision in sports. Before joining Hudl, they worked at Schlumberger as a Software Engineer, developing collaborative tools for reservoir modelling projects. Paul also gained experience as a software developer intern at Schlumberger, where they worked on prototype applications and performance profiling tools.

Paul Pop began their education at Colegiul National Silvania, where they obtained their Baccalaureate diploma in Mathematics and English in 2008. Paul then went on to attend The University of Edinburgh from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) with Honours in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, Paul obtained several certifications from online platforms such as LinkedIn and Coursera. In 2018, they completed courses such as "Developing Executive Presence" and "Body Language for Leaders" from LinkedIn, as well as a series of courses offered by Coursera, including "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning Specialization," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," and "Sequence Models" (obtained month unspecified).
