Remus Pop

Remus Pop has a diverse work experience spanning from 2011 to 2018. Remus is currently serving as the Co-Founder and CRO of Neurolabs since July 2018. In this role, they lead a computer vision vendor company focused on visually interpreting and understanding the grocery and consumer packaged goods (CPG) world.

Prior to their current role, Remus worked as an FX Market Risk Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from July 2014 to September 2017. Remus then joined Merrill Lynch as a Market Risk Analyst from June 2013 to August 2013, where they developed a model to investigate volatility term structure and performed statistical analysis of equity spot price volatility.

Before working in the financial sector, Remus gained experience as a Summer Intern at Aon Hewitt, where they worked on individual transfer value calculations, actuarial valuations, and managed pension schemes. Remus raised funds for a partner charity and updated financial models during their internship in 2012.

In 2011, Remus also worked as a Summer Intern at VIENNA INVESTMENT TRUST. Remus conducted fundamental and technical analysis, prepared daily market analysis reports, and implemented and designed the company's electronic trading platform.

Overall, Remus has a strong background in finance, risk analysis, and business development, with a particular focus on computer vision and the CPG space.

Remus Pop began their education in 2005 at the National College "Gheorghe Sincai" where they obtained their Romanian Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics and Physics in 2009. Remus then pursued their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Edinburgh from 2009 to 2013. Following that, Remus completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Financial Modelling and Optimization from the same institution between 2013 and 2014. Later, in 2017, they attended The University of Edinburgh once again to obtain an MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence, which was completed in 2018.
