Philip Hampel, DVM, PhD

Philip Hampel, DVM, PhD has worked in the field of neuropharmacology since 2014. Philip began as a Student Research Assistant and Student Intern at the Department for Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmacy at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. In 2016, they became a PhD Scholar (Neuropharmacology) at the same university. In 2017, they were a Visiting PhD Student at the University of Helsinki. In 2019, they were a Preclinical Intern at Neurona Therapeutics. Philip is currently working as a Scientist and Associate Scientist at Neurona Therapeutics since 2020.

Philip Hampel, DVM, PhD has an extensive education history. From 2010 to 2016, they attended the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover and obtained a State exam (Staatsexamen) in Veterinary Medicine. In 2016, they continued their studies at the Hannover Graduate School for Veterinary Pathobiology, Neuroinfectiology, and Translational Medicine (HGNI) at the same university, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Pharmacology in 2019. Additionally, they have obtained three certifications: FELASA C from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover in 2017, Trainer C Dressage/Show jumping (Reiten - Leistungssport) from the Landesreitschule Hoya in 2010, and Trainer C Equestrian vaulting (Voltigieren - Breitensport) from the Fachschule für Voltigieren Hohenhameln in 2009.
