Clinical Research & Development Manager at Neurona Therapeutics

Rose Larios has extensive experience in the medical and science fields. Rose began their career in 2011 as a Teaching Assistant for Animal Behavior at Amherst College, where they also completed a Senior Honors Thesis in Biology investigating how intersexual competition between purple-throated carib hummingbirds drives floral divergence of their main food plants. In 2012, they became a Research Technician in Neuroscience at Columbia University Medical Center. In 2014, they began their Neuroscience PhD Candidate at UCSF in the Manoli Lab, where their dissertation focused on Environmental and Genetic Contributions to Adult Social Attachment. In 2017, they became an Accelerated Weekend Experience Science Instructor at The Nueva School. In 2018, they were accepted to and attended the RIKEN Center for Brain Science Summer Program, where they presented their dissertation research as part of a poster session. Rose also became a Consultant at Biotech Connection - Bay Area, Inc., where they performed Due Diligence to guide investments of a Venture Capital firm based in the Bay Area. In 2019, they began their role as a Clinical Trial Assistant at UCSF Medical Center, where they attended patients overnight as part of the MAPS MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy Phase III Clinical Trial and was trained in Good Clinical Practice and Human Subjects Protection. In 2022, they will become a Clinical Field Engineer & Medical Science Liaison at Neurona Therapeutics.

Rose Larios began their educational journey in 2004 at Hunter College High School. Rose then attended Amherst College from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Premed. In 2014, they began their Doctor of Philosophy in Neuroscience at the University of California, San Francisco, which they completed in 2021.
