Jeff Hubbard has extensive experience in the field of electrophysiology. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Electrophysiology at Neuroservices-Alliance, where they manage client studies and internal R&D. In this role, they co-designs studies with multinational pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to provide electrophysiological endpoints for their drug discovery programs.
Prior to their current position, Jeff served as the Head of Electrophysiology at NEUROSERVICE, where they led a team of scientists specialized in patch-clamp electrophysiology and data analysis. Jeff also worked as a Group Leader in the Patch-Clamp Team, offering customized solutions to clients and providing valuable data for advancing CNS-based programs.
Before joining NEUROSERVICE, Jeff worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Servier, where they developed new models for identifying druggable targets in proteinopathies such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. Jeff collaborated with academic experts and industry partners as part of the IMPRiND consortium to establish assays for screening potential therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.
Earlier in their career, Jeff served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the ICM - Brain & Spine Institute, investigating the connectivity of CSF-contacting neurons and studying synaptic dysfunction in an ALS model. Jeff also gained research experience as a Research Associate II at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc., focusing on PDE4 subtypes inhibition and studying the mechanism of action of Televancin antibiotic.
Overall, Jeff Hubbard's work experience demonstrates their expertise in the field of electrophysiology and their ability to lead teams and collaborate with industry partners to advance the understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
Jeff Hubbard began their education journey in 1995 when they enrolled at Reed College. Jeff completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry in 1999. After this, they went on to pursue a career in neuroscience and enrolled at Oregon Health & Science University in 2004. Jeff successfully completed their Ph.D. in Neuroscience in 2012.
