Joana Vieira Duarte

Joana Vieira Duarte is a Carbon Project Developer at neustark, specializing in the measurement, reporting, and verification of climate projects since January 2023. Previously, Joana held the position of Scientific Assistant at the University of Bern, contributing to scientific publications, co-coordinating the Doctoral School of Mineral Sciences, and serving as a site geologist for the ICDP drilling project DIVE from July 2022 to June 2023. Joana's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Geology/Earth Science from the University of Bern, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the University of Geneva and the University of Lisbon, respectively. Joana's earlier experience also includes a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Lausanne and a Polyvalent storekeeper at BODY’minute Switzerland.
