Neutrify

Did you know that every kg of beef releases 60kg of CO2? Agriculture and food production is the 2nd highest contributor to carbon emissions and climate change, taking up 18% of overall CO2 annual emissions with 9% coming from livestock. At Neutrify, we believe everyone has the power to make a difference in the collective fight against climate change. Our product educates consumers on the carbon footprint of their online grocery purchases and shifts consumption trends towards more sustainable food. Neutrify is a chrome extension that educates users on the carbon footprints of food in their shopping cart and offers ways to offset their purchases. We suggest users buy sustainable food alternatives to reduce carbon emissions. Neutrify uses a gamification system so customers have incentives to earn points by choosing eco-friendly food or planting trees to offset their carbon footprint. With the points, they can get discounts on sustainable food products or donate to charities. Users can connect Neutrify to their social accounts to compete with their friends on their greenness and bring up a viral global sustainability movement.
