Ryan is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Neuvik Solutions, a company that offers specialized cybersecurity technical assessments and training. Prior to this, Ryan worked at GRIMM (SMFS, Inc.) as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and held principal and senior principal positions. Ryan also worked at McKinsey & Company as a Consultant and Cyber Expert, where they developed cybersecurity strategies and roadmaps for organizational investment prioritization and execution. Ryan's experience also includes working at the United States Department of Defense as the Associate Director of Cyber and Chief of Staff, where they managed a wide-ranging portfolio of initiatives for military readiness. Ryan has also worked as an Olympic Games Technical Specialist at VANOC and held various roles at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, OPM, and IBM. Ryan Leirvik has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management from Purdue University. Ryan also holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. Additionally, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
In terms of certifications, they completed the "Cybersecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology" program at Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in August 2014. Ryan also obtained the "CISO Cybersecurity" certification from the National Defense University in May 2012, and the "CISO Cyber law" certification from the same institution in June 2011.
