Mr. Williams received his Bachelors and Masters of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1973.

Mr. Williams is the Founder and Principal of Williams and Works a 50 employee Civil and Structural Engineering firm headquartered in Grand Rapids, MI. He sold the firm by ESOP in 2010.

Mr. Williams reputation and body of work in the Midwest structural and civil Engineering community is well known and respected. He serves as a senior project manager and engineer on a broad range of technical assignments. He is responsible for client contact and project administration in water and wastewater treatment projects.

Formerly, Mr. Williams served as director for water and wastewater treatment for a national consulting firm. His prior experience includes design, study, and project management responsibilities for industrial and municipal projects. He has acted as project manager on numerous studies, including many pilot plant and bench scale evaluations. He has been involved with preliminary studies, plant optimization studies, environmental studies, and planning. In addition, he participated in evaluating project financing alternatives, including tax consequences, industrial development bonds, private placements, among others.

Earlier, Mr. Williams has served as design engineer and project manager for an international consulting firm in their municipal engineering department.

Mr. Williams has authored, co-authored and presented over 20 technical papers in his extensive career.

Mr. Williams is affiliated with the; Water Pollution Control Federation, American Water Works Association, Michigan Technological University Civil Engineering Department - Professional Advisory Committee, Emeritus, American Council of Engineering Companies and the Michigan Accelerator Fund.
