Waldon Swenson (Wally)

Waldon "Wally" Swenson has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations.

In 2019, they joined Nevada HAND, Inc as the Vice President of Corporate Affairs. In this role, they lead the Communications and Marketing, Fundraising, and Government Relations departments.

Prior to that, from 2017 to 2019, Wally served as the Director of Communications and Marketing at the Illinois Housing Development Authority. This organization is a quasi-governmental self-supporting lender focused on providing affordable housing solutions.

In 2016, Wally worked in the Office of the Governor in Illinois, first as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, and later as the Intergovernmental Affairs Manager.

Before that, in 2016, they worked as the Political Director for the Illinois Rebuild Project, and as the Deputy Campaign Manager for Congressman John Shimkus (IL-15).

Wally's earlier experiences include roles in the Office of the Governor in Illinois as the Director of Advance and Lead Advance Representative, as well as Field Office Manager for Citizens for Rauner, Inc.

Waldon "Wally" Swenson holds a Master of Arts in Communications from Eastern Illinois University. Prior to that, they achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, also from Eastern Illinois University.
