Joseph M. Mahady

Mr. Mahady has extensive strategic and operational experience in all aspects of the pharmaceutical industry. He has a record of success in creating value by transforming businesses; developing operational excellence; and being able to lead the integrated efforts needed to develop and introduce market-changing products, as evidenced by his more than 30 product launches.

Mr. Mahady spent 30 years at Wyeth Corporation—culminating in his role as President of Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Senior Vice President of Wyeth Corporation—where he directed its $20 billion global pharmaceutical business. Since his retirement from Wyeth in 2009, he has provided consulting services for a range of companies on both strategic and operational biopharmaceutical matters.

Mr. Mahady currently serves on the board of directors for Windtree Therapeutics. He is the past Chairman of Lumara Health (formerly KV Pharmaceuticals) and has previously served as a director on the boards of Albemarle, EKR Therapeutics, Immunex and Strongbridge Biopharma.

Mr. Mahady received his BS degree in Pharmacy from St. John’s University College of Pharmacy, and his MBA in Pharmaceutical Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
