Kirsten Zeydel has an extensive work experience in the field of structural engineering and design. Kirsten is currently serving as the Director of Design at Nevell Group, Inc., where they apply their expertise in metal framing and prefabricated panels to various aspects of construction. Prior to this, Kirsten founded their own consulting firm, ZO Consulting, Inc., in 2014, focusing on providing exceptional services tailored to the unique needs of each project and client. Kirsten has also worked as a Structural Consultant at S. K. Ghosh Associates Inc., assisting with technical code inquiries and education. Kirsten's previous role as the Structural Engineering Manager at Digital Building Components involved leading a structural engineering group, obtaining certifications, and handling various architectural responsibilities. Kirsten started their career as a Senior Project Engineer at FICCADENTI WAGGONER and CASTLE Structural Engineers, managing multiple projects and working on a wide range of building types and materials.
Kirsten Zeydel obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, which they completed between 1998 and 1999. Kirsten Zeydel has also obtained additional certifications as a Structural Engineer and as a Civil Engineer from the State of California, in January 2005 and January 2001 respectively.
