Patrick Mitchell

Patrick Mitchell is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in risk analysis, credit management, and operational leadership. Significant roles include Director of the Division of Insurance and Research at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), where oversight of risk analysis and pricing for financial institutions was paramount, and Managing Director at Ambac, where management of a $30 billion credit portfolio was achieved. Prior positions include Director at Assured Guaranty, Associate Director at FDIC, and Associate Director at Barclays, demonstrating a strong background in structured credit products and financial analysis. Patrick holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. Currently, Patrick serves as Senior Vice President at the American Bankers Association following a tenure as Vice President.
