Brent Meza

Brent Meza, PMP has extensive experience in project and program management. Brent is currently serving as the VP of Project/Program Management at New American Funding since June 2023. In their previous role as AVP of Project Management at the same company from October 2021 to June 2023, Brent successfully managed a team of 5 individuals and led various projects such as a company rebrand and name change, as well as the transition of sister companies. Brent implemented and customized the project management platform in Azure DevOps, resulting in improved project visibility and streamlined communication.

Prior to their role at New American Funding, Brent worked as a Senior Corporate Project Manager and Corporate Project Manager at the same company from October 2019 to July 2021. In these roles, they managed the day-to-day operations of various projects, ensured adherence to PMI/Agile standards and methodologies, and handled project documentation.

Before joining New American Funding, Brent worked as a PMO Specialist at Thales from December 2015 to October 2019. Brent also briefly served as an ERP Administrator at the same company. Additionally, they gained experience as a Brand Ambassador at Taco Bell, a Data Management Associate at Vitatech Nutritional Sciences, Inc., and in the Legal Department at Yum! Brands.

Brent started their career as a Senior Teller at Wells Fargo from June 2006 to August 2009, where they built strong relationships with customers, provided efficient transaction processing, and promoted the bank's products and services.

Brent Meza, PMP, holds a Certificate in Project Management from UC Irvine. Brent also studied Music, specifically Contemporary Music, at California State University, Monterey Bay. Brent Meza completed their high school education at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. In addition to their academic qualifications, they have obtained additional certifications, including being a Certified SAFe 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. and a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, obtained in August 2020.
