Jooyoung Voeller, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They started their career in 2003 as an Assistant Project Manager at the Overseas Koreans Foundation, where they managed a Korean language learning website. In 2005, they worked for Food for the Hungry, Inc. as a staff member. In 2007, Jooyoung became the Lead Program Developer at English Friend, an online ESL program. There, they designed online ESL courses, developed an administrative system, and managed website development. From 2009 to 2009, Jooyoung worked as a Graduate Practicum at Refuge P’nan. In 2011, they joined Lumerit Education as a Service Learning Coordinator. Their responsibilities included coordinating service learning programs. From 2013 to 2019, Jooyoung worked at Trinity Education as the Lead Program Designer. They researched and designed affordable, skill-based learning paths and managed a blended learning curriculum. They also worked with SMEs and coached local leaders in the developing world. Most recently, in 2019, Jooyoung assumed the role of Director of Curriculum at New Apprenticeship.

Dr. Jooyoung Voeller has an impressive education history. Starting in 1999, they attended Seoul National University and obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature in 2002. Recognizing the importance of furthering their knowledge and skills, Dr. Voeller pursued a Master's degree in Social Welfare at Seoul National University, which they completed from 2006 to 2009.

In 2011, they attended The University of Texas at San Antonio, where they earned a Graduate Certificate in Digital Learning Design, demonstrating their commitment to incorporating technology in educational settings. Dr. Voeller continued to explore their passion for education by completing their Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in International/Global Studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2018 to 2021.

Building on their educational background, Dr. Voeller acquired additional certifications to enhance their professional development. In 2015, they successfully completed the EDUCAUSE Presenter certification program provided by EDUCAUSE, an organization dedicated to advancing higher education through IT.
