James Govern

James Govern has held a number of roles in the aerospace and engineering industries since 2001. James began their career as a Manufacturing Engineer at Swales Aerospace in 2001. In 2005, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at Orbital ATK, first as a Mechanical Engineer and then as a Program Manager. From 2015 to 2018, they were the Deputy Program Manager at ASRC Federal. In 2018, they became a Systems Engineer & Group Lead at ATA Aerospace, LLC. In 2022, they took on the role of Systems Engineer & Group Lead at Aerodyne Industries LLC. Currently, they are the Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer at New Ascent.

James Govern attended The Johns Hopkins University from 2005 to 2007, where they earned their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. James then attended the University of Maryland from 1998 to 2003, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
