Richard Haridy

Richard Haridy is an experienced journalist and film critic, currently serving as a Committee Member for the Science Journalists Association of Australia since November 2022, and as a Journalist/Senior Feature Writer for New Atlas since July 2016, focusing on new technology and psychedelic science. Previously, Richard held key roles such as Program Director for the Gold Coast Film Festival, Treasurer, Committee Member, and Chair for the Australian Film Critics Association, and Feature Film Panelist for the Melbourne International Film Festival. Richard also coordinated the Little Big Shots Film Festival and hosted The Parallax Podcast, showcasing film debates. Richard's educational background includes a Master of Art & Cultural Management from the University of Melbourne and an Honours degree in Film Theory from Griffith University.
