Steve Gwozdz

Steve Gwozdz is a seasoned law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various roles within the New Bedford Police Department since January 2017, currently serving as a Patrol Sergeant and Detective. Gwozdz has been a Police Officer for the City of New Bedford since July 2014 and holds a background in SWAT operations, having served as a breacher and police officer with SEMLEC SWAT from 2006 to July 2014. Previous roles include police officer and SWAT operator at Fairhaven Police Department from August 2005 to July 2014, and a police officer for the Town of Oak Bluffs from June 1996 to August 2005. Gwozdz's education includes an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College, completed in 2002.
