Brett Abbott currently serves as the Director and CEO of the New Britain Museum of American Art since February 2022. Prior to this role, Brett held the position of Director of Collections and Exhibitions at the Amon Carter Museum from October 2016 to January 2022. Brett's experience also includes serving as Curator of Photography and Head of Collections at the High Museum of Art from January 2011 to September 2016, and as Associate Curator of Photographs at The J. Paul Getty Museum from August 2002 to January 2011. Brett Abbott earned a BA and MA in Art History from Stanford University and Williams College, respectively.
