Reshan Richards

Director of Studies at New Canaan Country School

Reshan Richards has a diverse range of work experience in the field of education and technology. Reshan started their career as an Assistant Director of Technology at The Town School, where they provided technology support and maintained the school's network. Reshan then moved on to become the Director of Educational Technology at The Montclair Kimberley Academy, where they oversaw the deployment of laptops to students and faculty and served as a member of the administrative and curricular teams. Concurrently, they founded the Constructivist Toolkit, LLC, collaborating on the design and release of Explain Everything, an interactive design tool. Reshan later became the CEO & Co-Founder of Explain Everything Inc, where they also served as the Chief Learning Officer and Board Chair. Currently, they are working as a Lecturer at Columbia University School of Professional Studies and as the Director Of Studies at New Canaan Country School. Additionally, Reshan is an Apple Distinguished Educator.

Reshan Richards has an educational background that includes a range of degrees and studies. Reshan obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from Columbia University, spanning from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued further studies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2004 to 2005, where they obtained a Master of Education (Ed.M) degree with a focus on Learning and Teaching. Lastly, Reshan Richards attended Teachers College, Columbia University from 2008 to 2013, earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) degree in Instructional Technology & Media.
