Yolanda Hugg Johnston, MA.Ed., currently serves as the Social Studies Department Head and Head Girls Soccer Coach at New Caney Independent School District since February 2022. Prior to this role, Yolanda was a Special Education Teacher at Livingston Parish Public Schools from August 2020 to February 2022, where responsibilities included creating engaging lesson plans and conducting assessments for special education students. Yolanda previously taught economics and career planning at New Caney Independent School District from August 2013 to May 2020, focusing on economic principles and personal financial literacy. Earlier experiences include working as a High School Admissions Representative at Remington College and as an Agency Recruiting Director at MetLife. Yolanda holds a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
