Mike Healy

Mike Healy is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of New Columbia Solar, Mike Healy has garnered a laudable reputation as a visionary entrepreneur and leader in the clean energy industry. Mike has been instrumental in developing business growth strategies from start-up level to maturity and has leveraged his position as a business leader and effective coalition-builder to grow and improve the solar industry.

While leading New Columbia Solar, Mike serves in executive and advisory positions with the Chesapeake Solar and Storage Association (CHESSA), ConnectDER Inc., Renewables Forward, the Virginia Advanced Energy Industries Coalition, and was a founding member of Nextility, Inc.

Mike has a proven track record of developing a long-term strategy, implementing the tactics to maintain and execute that strategy, and delivering results. He has been an active advocate of renewable energy and clean power in environmental policies, which includes leading the advocacy efforts for the Clean Energy DC Act 2018 passed by the DC City Council to implement a 100% renewable energy target by 2032 and mandates zero-emissions public transportation by 2045. Mike hopes to see the District meet its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2032 through his efforts at New Columbia Solar.
