Ivan Oliveira

Ivan Oliveira serves as the Director for Brazil at the New Development Bank and also holds the position of Alternate Director at the same institution. Concurrently, Ivan works as the Deputy Secretary for Sustainable Development Finance at the Ministry of Finance of Brazil and as a Senior Advisor at the Ministry of Economy. In addition, Ivan is a member of the Board of Directors at SERPRO and acts as the National Designated Authority in Brazil for the Green Climate Fund. Ivan's extensive experience in economic research includes various leadership roles at the Instituto de Pesquisa Econômica Aplicada, including Director of the Postgraduate Program and Director of the Department of International Studies. Furthermore, Ivan participates in multiple committees and boards, such as serving as an Alternate Member of the Supervisory Board of Banco do Brasil, representing Brazil in the Climate Investment Funds, the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Management, two Master's degrees in Latin American Studies and Management, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from reputable institutions.
