Sean Boylan is an experienced engineer specializing in controls, with a current position as an Applications Engineer at New Eagle since November 2022. Previous roles include Controls Engineer at Nimbus, System Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, and Research Assistant at the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, where contributions included developing control systems for ankle-foot orthoses. Sean also gained experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at the University of Rochester, working on stress wave simulation and parameter studies, and completed a research internship at the American Museum of Natural History focused on exoplanet discovery. Sean holds a Master of Science in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
