Julia Short

Julia Short is a dedicated environmental professional with a multifaceted background in sustainability and research. Currently serving as a Program Associate for the Empire Technology Prize at The Clean Fight since May 2023, Julia has previously held positions including Research Associate and Research Fellow at AccountAbility and an internship at The Conduit focused on membership and community engagement. Additional experience includes roles at ALDI USA, Trane Technologies, and as a Recycling Intern at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where Julia conducted research on beneficial reuse methods for coal ash. Julia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed in 2022.
