Monty Wang is the current Senior Financial Controller of Shanghai at New Energy Nexus. Prior to this, they were a Partner at Zen Advisory Management Consulting, where they were responsible for sales of financial management consulting capabilities and executing contracts on a daily or weekly basis. Their clients included two environmental protection enterprises, one chemical manufacturing company, and one high tech semiconductor industry company.
Before that, Monty worked as the Finance Director of Hydraulic Tools China at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. There, they were responsible for financial planning and analysis, controllership, and M&A management. During their time there, they successfully integrated M&A targets into the parent company with all compliance and management requirements satisfied. Monty also managed to smoothly close monthly without any missing dates and excelled the financial target in all key KPIs.
Some of their key achievements include reducing E&O inventory by 20%, adjusting the unreasonable finished goods price to keep margin level, and guiding new product development cost down project contributing 12% cost down. Monty has also been successful in nurturing and training finance teams with greater skills and mindset in both financial techniques and communication skills.
Monty Wang received their MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business in finance and general management. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate degree in economics with a focus in accounting from Nankai University.
They work with Kelly Soria - Financial Analyst, Jayson Fajel - Bookkeeper, and Edmund Lee - Finance & Administration Manager. Monty Wang reports to Christina Borsum, CFO.
