Sarah Reiter

Director Ocean Policy at New England Aquarium

Sarah Reiter is the Director of Ocean Policy at the New England Aquarium. Sarah has dedicated their career to ocean conservation, working at the intersection of science, law, and policy. Prior to their current position, Sarah was an Early Career Law and Policy Fellow at the Center for Ocean Solutions, where they provided guidance on climate change planning, land-sea interactions, and ecosystem based management. Sarah has also worked as an intern for NOAA's Office of General Counsel and as a Summer Legal Intern for the Stanford Center for Ocean Solutions. In addition to their work in the conservation field, Sarah is also an Assistant Professor of Law at Vermont Law School.

Sarah Reiter has a J.D. from Vermont Law and Graduate School in Environmental Law and Ocean Law, an M.S. in Environmental Studies from the College of Charleston, and a B.S. in Oceanography from the United States Naval Academy.

Their manager is John Mandelman, VP, Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life.
