Dr. Andrew L. Terrono is a chief of hand surgery at New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH). In addition to his work at NEBH, Dr. Terrono holds an academic appointment as Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts University School of Medicine, and serves as co-director of the Tufts University combined hand fellowship.
Dr. Terrono is a diplomat for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow for both the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Terrono is a member of several professional societies including the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Orthopaedic Association and the Massachusetts Medical Society. He has been voted as a Boston Magazine Top Doctor in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Dr. Terrono earned his medical degree from Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, NY. He then completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Tufts University, followed by the Tufts University Combined Hand Fellowship. He completed additional training in needle aponeurotomy (percutaneous treatment of Dupuytren’s contracture) with Dr. Charles Eaton.
Dr. Terrono specializes in hand, wrist and forearm problems, as well as some elbow problems.
