Director Clinical Education And Professional Development at New England Baptist Hospital

Edward Burch, DNP, RN, CNRN has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development at New England Baptist Hospital, a role they assumed in March 2020. Prior to this, Edward worked as the Manager of Clinical Education and Professional Development at the same hospital since March 2018.

Before joining New England Baptist Hospital, Edward held the position of Nurse Manager for Central and Clinical Education Programs at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center from February 2014 to September 2017.

At Tufts Medical Center, Edward served in various capacities, including Professional Development Manager from January 2013 to February 2014, Clinical Educator from 1999 to January 2013, Acting Nurse Manager from May 2010 to February 2011, and Acting Nurse Manager from April 2003 to November 2003. As a Clinical Educator, their responsibilities included staff development, training, and collaboration across disciplines to improve patient care outcomes on a surgical step-down unit with a wide range of case types.

Edward Burch, DNP, RN, CNRN, obtained their Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with a specialization in Acute Care at Northeastern University. Edward also holds an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Nursing from Columbia Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Northeastern University. Additionally, Edward has obtained the Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN) certification from The American Board of Neuroscience Nursing in 2013.
