Timothy Wong

Dr. Timothy Wong brings over 25 years of experience in scientific research, technical, product and marketing management, as well as business planning and development. Dr. Wong currently serves as the General Manager of New England Biolabs (NEB) China Operations. He has extensive understanding of the biological sciences market in China and Asia (Australasia, South & South-East Asia, Korea & Japan). After graduating from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Dr. Wong received his Ph.D. in cancer research in the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a focus on understanding the drug-resistant mechanisms and approaches in modulation of cancer drug treatment. He has received multiple awards, including the AACR Young Investigator Award (1997) and Croucher Foundation Fellowship (2000). In 2000, Dr. Wong, joined Life Technologies (GibcoBRL), which was acquired by Invitrogen and now Thermo Scientific, and was involved in Life’s first China acquisition and transition (later known as In-China-for-China project). Dr. Wong joined NEB in 2013 to lead its rapid growing operation in China.
