James Sartell is the Chief of Police for the Townsend Massachusetts Police Department, a position held since November 2017, responsible for overseeing all police functions to ensure the safety of the community. Sartell is actively involved with the International Association of Chiefs of Police, serving on multiple committees, including the Professional Standards Ethics and Image Committee, the IACP Policy Center Working Group, and the Community Policing Committee, contributing to best practices and policy development in law enforcement.
