Adam Helmes has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Adam started their career at Kroger in 1999, where they worked as a Pharmacy Technician for nearly nine years. In 2008, they joined New England Organ Bank as an Organ Donation Coordinator, before being promoted to the role of Donation Coordinator in 2012. Adam remained with the organization until 2015 when they transitioned to New England Donor Services as the Manager of the Organ Optimization Team, a role they currently hold.
Adam Helmes earned a Bachelor's degree in Mortuary Sciences from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued Pre-Pharmacy Studies at the University of Cincinnati from 2003 to 2005. In 2007, they attended the Medical University of Ohio at Toledo and completed a Graduate Certificate in Human Donation Sciences in 2008. Additionally, in November 2015, they obtained certification as a Procurement Transplant Coordinator from the American Board for Transplant Certification.
