Chris Tierney

Assistant Sporting Director at New England Revolution

Christopher Tierney currently serves as the Assistant Sporting Director and has held various roles, including Director of Soccer Operations and Player Recruitment Manager, at New England Revolution since August 2019. Prior to this, Christopher was a professional soccer player in Major League Soccer from 2008 to 2019, distinguished as club captain on multiple occasions and earning accolades such as the 2016 Defender of the Year and selection to the 2015 MLS All-Star Team. Throughout an extensive career, Christopher made over 250 appearances, becoming the only player in club history to play for 11 seasons and contributing to team successes like the 2009 Superliga Champions and the 2014 Eastern Conference Champions. Additionally, from 2010 to 2018, Christopher represented teammates as the MLS Players Association Representative, engaging in collective bargaining initiatives. Educationally, Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Virginia and is currently enrolled in the Crossover into Business Program at Harvard Business School.
