Gary Mitchell

Gary Mitchell is an experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Conversion Project at New Fortress Energy, overseeing the conversion of drilling rigs to LNG production platforms since January 2023. Previous roles include Second Engineer at Valaris Drilling, where quality assurance was maintained during the re-activation of a deep-water drillship, and similar positions at West Carina ICM Agency and Aroona Drilling, focusing on maintenance and operational duties during vessel reactivations and drilling programs. Gary also held the role of Chief Engineer at ASV Pioneer, managing planned maintenance and spare parts, and served as a Second Engineer at Seadrill MEA and Sevan Drilling ASA, contributing to vessel build, commissioning, and maintenance. Gary's extensive experience spans various projects in the maritime sector, including deep-water operations and drilling in international waters.
